Well, Friday night was finally the night. My boys, Tracy and I finally were able to go see the new Avenger’s movie. I have to admit this is one that we have been looking forward to for quite some time. We are fans of the Iron Man series, we enjoyed Thor, and thought Captain America was one of the best super hero movies in a long time. In fact, we were anticipating this movie so much that I was afraid that we might have been building our expectations so high that there was no way it was going to live up to the hype in our minds. It’s a little embarrassing to admit, but to show you how hyped up we were, for the last month any time an Avengers commercial came on TV, we would have to rewind it and watch it at least one extra time – even the cheesy ones that just led into some product endorsement.
The back of my mind always had a few doubts, though. An ensemble cast like this sometimes defeats itself by it’s sheer bulk. Would the eye candy destroy the story? Would it even make it off of the editing room floor? Continue Reading…
